Sous Chef (Events)

Salary £14.00 per hour

The essential ingredient at the heart of our business is our people so we are searching for an experienced Sous Chef with a background in exceptional food catering services to join our business and work at one of our highly prestigious specialist independent schools. This position will particular focus on supporting the School's thriving wedding and events business and also provide support to other local schools in quieter periods.

As a Sous Chef

As well as having an excellent presentation, organisational and communication skills, you will be able to demonstrate a real passion for food & service for both school catering on hospitality and events. You will possess bags of enthusiasm and be willing and able to work regular weekends, including very late finishes.

• Ideally have experience working in both education and event catering
• Have a progressive career to date
• Have a real passion for food and customer service
• Ability to build and nurture relationships; strong team leadership and interpersonal skills
• Drive and takes initiative
• Is very hands on and motivates by setting the example
• High level of integrity
• Have good Health & Safety knowledge
• Be able to work within set budgets
• Know how to cost and plan menus accurately
• Be familiar with training and coaching a team
