Do you have ability and personality to work with teachers to motivate adult learners of all levels?

We have vacancies for Adult Education Learning Support Assistant with appropriate qualifications to work with adults in an online or classroom environment; providing focused support to overcome barriers to learning, increase confidence and support achievement. Teaching support could be delivered in groups or on a one-to-one basis.

Knowledge of current support practices used within further education and the ability to apply IT and digital skills in learning is essential. The successful candidate will also have good reading, writing, numeracy, verbal communication skills, IT skills and ability to use Outlook and Teams.

The Adult Learning and Skills Service is a highly-acclaimed department within NYCC, offering educational opportunities to adults in a wide range of subjects.

Adult Education Learning Support Assistant cover is required across the county of North Yorkshire and posts are currently available to cover the Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale areas. Day time and evening availability is desirable but not essential. Location and availability will be discussed at interview.
