Experienced Male Support Worker
£12.10 per hour / £45 per sleep in shift
Part-time, 20 hours per week
Full UK driving licence essential

Who will I be supporting?

You will be supporting a gentleman in his 40s to live independently in his own home in Darlington
This gentleman has a learning disability and epilepsy and enjoys visiting museums, railways and monster truck shows
He is looking for a fun and friendly male Support Worker to join his team and take an active interest in the hobbies and activities he enjoys!
What will I be doing?

You will be supporting this gentleman to live his life how he chooses, to be himself and to achieve his goals
At times he may experience behaviours of distress, so whilst person-centred training will be provided, you will need to have some previous experience supporting people with complex mental health and/or behavioural needs to be a good match for his team
Day to day you will be providing support with personal care (prompting only), medication administration, budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and laundry
This gentleman has his own car to make travelling much more enjoyable for him so it's essential that you have a full UK driving licence in order to join his team
What shifts are available?

Monday to Friday - 3:30pm until 9:30am the following day with sleepover shift included
Saturday & Sunday - 10am one day, until 10am the following day with sleepover shift included
Rotas are provided at least 4 weeks in advance to support a healthy work / life balance - something we're really passionate about!
