Spire Norwich are now recruiting a Deputy Theatre Manager to join their warm and friendly team on a full time basis.

Spire Norwich Hospital provides comprehensive private hospital care covering a wide range of surgical specialties. These specialties include orthopaedics, general, urology, endoscopy, plastics, ENT, gynaecology and ophthalmic surgery. As well as our provision for inpatients and daycare, we have thriving Physiotherapy, Radiology, and Outpatient facilities.

The Deputy Theatre Manager will deputise for the Theatre Manager and support them in the provision of appropriate clinical and managerial leadership throughout the department. Maximising theatre utilisation, Consultant compliance and maintaining clinical standards, the post-holder will provide strong leadership and direction to all staff across the service and act as a point of contact for advice and expertise relating to professional issues.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • You will be expected to demonstrate leadership skills and lead the team clinically though day to day tasks
  • You will be expected to complete clinical duties on a regular basis
  • Deputising for the theatre manager when appropriate
  • Opportunities to take on extra responsibilities’ dependant on your passion
  • Acting as a role model to your team and offering support as and when needed

Who we're looking for:

  • You must be a registered nurse or ODP with a valid pin with no restrictions on practice
  • You must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a theatre setting
  • You must have previous leadership experience in a Team Leader or Deputy Team Leader capacity.
  • You will be able to demonstrate your experience across a wide range of specialities.
  • You must be flexible in supporting the theatre team where required
