Being an Assistant Manager in Chef and Brewer is about the ability to make everyone feel welcome guests and team alike. You lead your team to take ownership of their guests journeys every step of the way from a warm welcome, through a great quality pub meal to the moment they say goodbye.

As a Chef & Brewer Assistant Manager you should be friendly, authentic and passionate, as will need to use your natural confidence and leadership to develop an outstanding team that truly cares about the guest experience they deliver as well as driving sales and ensuring operational excellence. You will be joining Greene King, with nearly 200 years of brewing experience - pubs are in our DNA. As a part of the largest Brewery & Pub Company, you'll have many opportunities to progress, and we'll support you every step of the way.

About the role

The Axe & Cleaver is located in the extremely picturesque village of Dunham Massey. Its attractive stone-and-brick-built exterior has remained virtually unchanged, as has much of the countryside surrounding this 19th century pub - the surrounding area primarily owned by the National Trust.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a self driven individual to join the leadership team here as an Assistant Manager. Within this role you will be supporting the General Manager with the day to day running of the site so you'll need to have a hands on approach whilst being able to lead a team to success.
