We are looking for a proven Project Management expert to join our established Project Management team, reporting into the Senior Programme Manager, you will be taking a leading role in the management of our infrastructure projects portfolio, whether that is an ARL or TFL project. A key focus for this position is to plan and deliver infrastructure enhancements, benefitting the customer experience and route performance.

You will take a leading role for the development of project scope, requirements and assessing feasibility which meet the business need and are in line with our KPIs, whilst also delivering complex projects in a safe and environmentally friendly way, as well as ensuring that all projects are delivered in line with the agreed scope, requirements and business targets.
You will also be responsible for developing the full project lifecycle key documentation for 3rd party projects working on our stations, offices and depots using formal project management documentation templates.
Ensure that all project costs and asset lifecycle costs are included within the project budget, working closely with the project finance team.
Lead and develop multi-disciplinary teams including commercial, programme controls, engineering and others to establish a robust baseline plan in line with our clients requirements.
Engage with and lead stakeholder relationships including internal and external parties.
Strong stakeholder management experience is essential for this opportunity so that the individual will feel confident in liaising with RFT and Network Rail.
Proven project management experience, including a qualification and someone who holds a Project Management/ Engineering degree as well as a Construction & Safety accreditation.
Demonstrable experience working in the railway, ideally planning, managing and delivering railway systems.
A keen understanding of the project lifecycle controls, including experience of manging and developing through the project lifecycle process, following best practice.
Proven background of financial management and cost control within projects, as well as strong experience in infrastructure/ construction project delivery.
Effective leadership experience, promoting excellence from within, with the ability to prioritise and guide a team towards effective project delivery.
