Assistant Quantity Surveyor

This is a great opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a well known Tier 1 contractor working on a large water infrastructure programme across South London.

The company is a well know Tier 1 contractor who operate nationwide throughout the UK and have a number of Regional offices. Your role as Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will joining an award winning business who will be part of the Commercial Team, you will be responsible for measuring, sub contract payments, material and plant costs, processing payments and reporting. You will be aiding the Commercial and Operational Team in delivery.

• Reporting
• Costing
• Sub contract payments

Experience required for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor role:

• Experience in the water and waste industry is preferable but not essential. If not then Civils experience would be an advantage.
• Preferably degree qualified in a related area, such as Quantity Surveying or equal experience in the same field.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and work with staff at all levels.
• Able to react to constant changing workloads.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• A proactive person with a disposition to take action pre-emptively to manage risk and opportunity.
