  • Salary: £40,000 - £80,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Our world leading aerospace client is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join their team as an Automation Test Engineer. This individual will be responsible for working on a variety of tasks related to cyber range and infrastructure, delivering cutting-edge solutions to both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on cyber range and infrastructure-related tasks under the direction of technical leads
  • Develop technical solutions to complex problems with ingenuity and creativity
  • Assist with requirements analysis and virtualized infrastructure design, testing, and implementation
  • Work with senior engineers to convert operational needs into technical requirements specifications
  • Provide support to the client and their customers.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience working with computer systems, networking hardware, security appliances, and software
  • Solid understanding and application of systems and integration engineering principles, requirements analysis and decomposition, system architecture, and design
  • Familiarity with virtualization concepts, especially ESXi, vSphere, and associated interfaces/APIs
  • Experience with Linux and/or Windows and comfort with Bash shell and Powershell
  • Familiarity with deployment tools, mainly Ansible and Terraform
  • Commercial experience with Selenium and/or Cucumber
  • Experience with Atlassian tools, JIRA/Confluence/BitBucket
  • Strong networking skills (TCP/IP) and possibly NSX-T
  • Software development experience or familiarity, particularly with Python
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • High standard of ethics and personal accountability
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with little supervision
  • The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with senior engineers, develop technical solutions, and receive training to support learning and career development.
