The Five Arrows Hotel is sixteen bedroom hotel situated in the Buckinghamshire
village of Waddesdon. It was built in the 1870s by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild to
form part of the model village which was overlooked by his country house,
Waddesdon Manor. Today the Manor is owned by the National Trust and a large part
of the activity at the property is funded by private Rothschild family trusts. The Hotel
is leased by the Manor’s trading company and operates as part of this commercial
activity. The Hotel’s Chefs are responsible for implementing all aspects of food policy
in the Hotel’s AA Rosette restaurant.

Chef at The Five Arrows in Waddesdon

We are seeking an experienced and creative Chef to join our team at The Five Arrows,
a 4-star boutique hotel located in Waddesdon. The hotel boasts a 2 AA rosette
restaurant and is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, providing a guaranteed two days
off a week.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and cooking high-quality dishes for our guests, using fresh and

• Developing and creating new menus to showcase our culinary offerings and

• Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring all health and safety

• Managing inventory and ordering supplies as needed
• Mentoring and training junior members of the kitchen staff
  

Requirements:

• Experience working as a chef in a high-end restaurant or hotel
• Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of different cuisines
• Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and

for career growth and development within our organization.

Terms & Conditions

Salary: Competitive salary with share of discretionary service charge

Hours A minimum of 37.5 per week, Wednesday to Sunday with

occasional Mondays’ and Tuesday’s. The working pattern may
sometimes change due to business needs. To help meet our
operational need and customers’ expectations you may be
required to work additional hours occasionally. This may
include evenings, weekends and public holidays. Reasonable
notice of any requirements will be given and TOIL will be
provided.

Annual Leave: 33 days including public holidays (25 days plus 8 bank

holidays).
36 days after 3 years’ continuous service (including public

holidays)
38 days after 5 years’ continuous service (including public

holidays)
40 days after 10 years’ continuous service (including public

holidays)
