Job Title: Chef Manager – EDF Contract

Overview:
Supervise and provide high-quality food services for workplace canteen and hospitality at Power Station. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.

Responsibilities:
Assist Fleet Catering Manager in smooth delivery of catering operations.
Oversee complete food production, staffing, and delivery in catering facilities.
Maintain operating standards and review when needed.
Develop innovative menus, presentation, and products for retail and events.
Set and maintain kitchen staff operating standards.
Manage food ordering for accuracy and quality.
Implement effective costing and production controls.
Ensure high standards of kitchen cleanliness.
Adhere to legislative guidelines (Food and Safety Act, HACCP, Health and Safety at Work Act).
Monitor staff training needs and provide ongoing training.
Supervise catering team and daily operations.
Ensure staff are correctly uniformed.
Manage staffing levels based on business demand.
Establish stock control procedures and accountability.
Liaise with Equans Site Senior Management Team and client as required.

Impact:
Own and manage operational performance, finances, and food production in a single kitchen with assistants.

Complexity:
Ensure high-quality presentation within budget and policy requirements. Create innovative event menus. Manage full kitchen staff, including assistants and freelance chef.

Qualifications/Experience Required:
Experienced Chef Supervisor with retail cafe and events experience.
Able to build and manage teams, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
Self-motivated and independent.
Strong teamwork skills and flexibility with working hours.
BTEC/NVQ or equivalent craft-based training qualification.
Level 3 and/or 4 Food Safety and Health & Safety certifications.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 14:30

Pay Grade: £30,000 – £33,000 per year.
