Clinical Negligence Associate Solicitor

  • Salary: From £40,000 (dependent on experience) plus bonus
  • Working from home available

Cleary & Co Solicitors are currently looking for a solicitor to join our growing Clinical Negligence Department as an Associate solicitor.

The candidate will be an ambitious and experienced Fee Earner who will be required to handle a caseload of clinical negligence cases from inception to completion. The successful candidate will play an important role within the firm by working on cases both individually and to support the team in ensuring cases are handled in a proactive, client focussed and efficient matter.

Desired skills:

  • Minimum: 3 years plus experience of handling medical negligence claims
  • Have a full understanding of the Pre-Action Protocol for Clinical Negligence Disputes
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent case management skills
  • Excellent client care skills
  • Take a pragmatic commercial approach to settlements and advising clients as to litigation/cost risks
  • Good knowledge of medical conditions and ability to identify appropriate case categories
  • Analytical skills and a methodical approach
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards
  • Ability to work as a team member and remotely
  • Ensure Court directions are prioritised and complied with in a timely manner
  • Achieve various targets set in relation to WIP, fee income, and settlements, etc.
  • An aptitude to build strong relationships with experts
  • Eagerness to be involved in the firm’s social media presence and writing blogs for the firm’s website.

An exceptional bonus scheme is available together with strong prospects of progressing to senior/partnership level.

Salary: £40,000 plus
