An exciting opportunity has arisen for a clinical psychologist to join the National Spinal Injuries Centre (NSIC) and develop clinical skills of working across the lifespan with children, young people and adult inpatients. The NSIC team consists of clinical psychologists, a psychological therapist and family counsellor, administrator and assistant psychologist and leads national and international clinically based research.
Applications from those currently employed or qualifying in 2023 are encouraged. You will be supported to develop your skills across predetermined competencies of therapy, supervision, teamwork and leadership. Once you have been assessed as meeting these competencies, you will move to band 8a in the service.
There are 2 permanent posts, a whole-time post and part time post. We are ideally looking to appoint one person for the full-time post (for both Adult and CYP) and have 16 hours available for the part-time post, which could also be working with adults and CYP if desired.
