Allertons is officially Leeds' No1 and No2 Salons, due to our unique and innovative approach in Services, Products and Environment. As we are about to celebrate our 9th Anniversary, and due to continued expansion, we're looking for a Concession Manager for our Hair and Beauty Destination inside John Lewis Leeds.

This is an exceptional opportunity for you to be Chief Executive of your own Salon, as you will have total accountability for creating and executing an agile and dynamic business, to recruit and retain customers through targeting, events, customer relationships, and the leadership and expansion of a high performing team.

THE ROLE

MAIN DUTIES

The Concession Manager is responsible for the the productivity, profitability and efficiency of the Salon, by:

  • Being a motivational, hands-on, lead-by-example Leader
  • Being commercially aware, setting and achieving targets for appointments, capacity, idle time, rebookings, upselling and retail sales
  • Controlling usage and spending in-line with agreed budgets
  • Ensuring ultimate levels of Client satisfaction, before, during and after their visits
  • Keeping your team happy, motivated and productive
  • Ensuring rotas and schedules are efficient and organised

In addition, the Concession Manager is the first and last impression of Allertons, it's your role to ensure each and every Allertons Client feels welcomed, feels wanted, and feels looked after. This is a very busy and demanding role, as you will be dealing with Clients from every Allertons Salon in-person and remotely. These duties include but are not limited to:

  • Greeting clients
  • Taking and Managing Appointments
  • Keeping in touch with clients
  • Recommending products and services
  • Ensuring client satisfaction
  • Checking out clients
  • Providing assistance to other Staff

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

To be suitable for this role, you must have:

  • Proven Retail or Salon Management experience
  • Experience setting and achieving sales and productivity targets
  • Experience planning and executing in-store Events
  • Experience using computerised salon booking software (ideally Phorest)
  • Excellent reception and administrative skills
  • Experience working effectively and efficiently under pressure
  • The ability to be flexible with working days and hours
