Job Description Summary

As the Configuration and Asset Manager will be responsible leading a small team of Equipment Officers that, along with yourself, will be maintaining up to date record of the configuration status of delegated test equipment physical hardware and software. Additionally, the configuration and asset manager will be responsible for conducting the administrative processes related to the delegated hardware assets, including asset tagging on initial delivery, direct control of the assets, and management of related records.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Leading a small group of Equipment Officers, ensuring best practice and a consistent approach is followed.
  • Conduct the administrative processes related to delegated hardware assets, including asset tagging and IUID labelling of equipment
  • Organise and manage all related asset records, ensuring data is updated and accurate
  • Direct control of the assets, including auditing of their physical locations
  • Coordinate with Calibration Department to ensure test fixtures and cables are appropriately calibrated / verified prior to use
  • Work with other areas of the business to transfer assets between functions
  • Collect data and produce ad hoc reports to project and programme management staff

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Previous experience of Control & Management of Government Furnished Equipment/Assets or previous experience of Asset Management
  • Working knowledge of the Engineering lifecycle or foundation level knowledge of at least one Engineering discipline
  • Perform with minimal supervision
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams
  • Ability to coordinate several projects / tasks simultaneously

  • Previous experience in a highly regulated industry
  • Technical understanding of automated test equipment
  • Previous experience with TIPQA
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability
