Job Overview:

We're seeking a passionate, experienced, and highly creative Social Media Content Creator & Video Editor to join our team in a full-time, office-based position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in social media marketing, content creation, video editing, and digital storytelling. They will play a crucial role in developing and executing our social media strategy to grow our brand's online presence and engage our target audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across various platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Create high-quality, engaging, and platform-specific content that aligns with our brand identity and goals
  • Produce and edit captivating video content, ranging from short social media clips to longer-form promotional videos
  • Plan, set up, and execute video shoots, ensuring proper lighting, sound, and composition for optimal results
  • Monitor and analyse social media metrics to optimise content and campaigns for better reach, engagement, and conversions
  • Develop eye-catching visuals, such as graphics, GIFs, and videos
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices, proactively suggesting new ideas and opportunities for growth
  • Manage and maintain the social media content calendar, ensuring regular posting and adherence to deadlines
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions, fostering a strong community and maintaining a positive brand image

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of proven experience in social media marketing, content creation, and video editing, preferably in a similar industry
  • A degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or a related field is preferred but not required
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills, with a knack for crafting compelling stories
  • Proficient in graphic design, video editing, and recording tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and video cameras
  • Strong understanding of social media algorithms, trends, and platform-specific nuances
  • Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
