The Company

We are a young, progressive law firm, based in the centre of the bustling yet quaint market town of Morpeth, Northumberland.

Here at Embrace Law we are resolute in our goal of making the conveyancing simple for our clients.

We are looking for a dynamic person to join our residential conveyancing team as a conveyancing assistant.

The Role

Starting From £21k per annum -- 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) -- Monday - Friday -- 9am -5pm -- Full time

The Conveyancing assistant position includes (but is not limited to):

  • Delivering an efficient and effective legal service and providing support to the conveyancing department
  • Always protecting our client interests, whilst also taking precautions against potential fraud & money laundering
  • Obtaining and checking land registry documents and title deeds (if the land is unregistered)
  • Drafting legal documents, including but not limited to: contracts & HM Land Registry documents
  • Ensuring that all files comply with the company policies and the regulatory framework including CLC, SRA and solicitor account rules
  • Undertaking general administration duties, using a high degree of self-management and initiative
  • Dealing with clients both in person and on the telephone in a confident manner providing clear, accurate and up to date information
  • Effectively managing your time to enable you to provide the service as detailed in this job description

Pre requisite skills for this role are:

  • General knowledge of the Conveyancing process
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise work
  • Attention to detail

Most importantly we are looking for someone with a passion for providing an excellent service to our clients, who also has the willingness to learn and expand their knowledge in property law.

Previous experience within the housing sector is beneficial but not required.

The position is mainly office based however following a successful probationary period remote working can be discussed.

Salary: From £21,000.00 per year
