Become a member of the EMEA & Global Growth and Business Development Team, supporting the effective and efficient development and application of central and regional new business strategy, planning, prospecting and pitch management.
This role will necessitate liaison with agency’s global, regional and local teams - covering all markets in EMEA, delivering and maintaining insights into the agency’s structure, statistics and performance.
This role, based in London, reports into the EMEA Chief Growth Officer, responsible for new business and information management across the region and global network.
Report to: Chief Growth Officer , EMEA
The Ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate and ensure the efficient and effective management of the day to day operations that help increase our opportunities to convert the industry’s most exciting reviews.
The role will be split 60:30:10.
- 60% of the role will be ensuring effective collaboration and communication with pitch teams, subject matter specialists and the wider Mindshare, Groupm and WPP EMEA communities
- 30%: working proactively to drive demand. Help us meet and engage new clients, put Mindshare on multiple consideration lists and nurture client from lead to partner to evangelist

The Ideal candidate will be managing everything from up-to-date global and regional statistics about Mindshare and GroupM, WPP and the Industry, locating and editing information to fit the needs of the team and partners with GroupM and WPP.
The Ideal candidate is comfortable with multi-tasking and working with complex data & information surrounding international, regional and local business development and new business pitches across multiple stakeholders.
We deploy Sales Force to maximise every opportunity. Experience of this or similar eCRM would be very useful.
This role requires the ideal candidate to be willing to compromise, listen and learn, be comfortable with rapid change, multiple stakeholders while at the same time teaching and leading when needed.
- Substantial media experience with a proven track record working within a New Business Environment
- Proven track record of delivering significant pitch projects across multiple markets and stakeholders

The major areas of responsibility within this role are:
To become an integral part of the Global Growth Community while supporting the EMEA Chief Growth Officer, with all aspects relating to the management of pitches and building a market leading demand strategy
- Key oversight for pitch process including: leading status meetings with full pitch team, managing pitch calendar and deliverables, monitoring progress against calendars and adjusting resources accordingly, and all other details of pitch planning and execution
- Build a compelling team culture for the pitch including motivating pitch experiences to help the team collaborate and grow
- Contribute to strategic storytelling, including pitch themes and the deployment of creativity to differentiate Mindshare in the market
- Partner with specialist content creators to edit and simplify pitch content
- Recommend appropriate pitch strategy, including development of pitch agenda, relevant case histories, meeting attendees, pitch theater and processes
- Work with the pitch team to prepare pitch briefing materials, including business background research, internal kick off decks, client intel, org charts and more
- Communicate regularly with all agencies and teams by way of a weekly and daily status emails and communications
- Confirm right resources are in place / are engaged appropriately
- Confidently lead creds/pitch presentations and complete RFIs
- Other duties as outlined by the EVP and Director of Global Growth
- To help in the ongoing development of our demand activities delivering 20+ new conversations in the EMEA region annually and converting 50% of these to Project work or RFI
- To support with the project management of EMEA focused regional/local pitches which can include:
- Helping brief markets and collect responses and completing RFI’s (Requests for Information), including proof reading and checking for missing information
- Supporting international pitches – including assisting in co-ordination of pitch meetings,
- Creating pitch timelines and project plans
- To document feedback and tasks in pitch meetings and rehearsals and ensure they are distributed and actioned
- Helping bring together content for RFP’s (Request for Proposal’s) which will often involve briefing and liaising with colleagues within the Global team as well as the markets
- Responding to information requests across the network for Mindshare, sister agencies, GroupM, WPP and any other WPP teams
- Develop a working knowledge of key Groupm Products and Services
- Regularly ensure that our credentials are up to date with the latest stats and facts and agency products and services
- Helping Mindshare teams collate and craft case studies and best in class work to leverage for new business
- Keeping New Business Tracker and other reporting systems updated
- Being a member of our global Mbassador network, overseeing the efficient management of multi-market information requests
- Manage the efficient flow of information across the network and share content and information as requested in a timely manner.
- Positive working relationship with the Mindshare network and detailed knowledge of key contacts across Mindshare services in each Mindshare market / regional team.
- Define what works and make it scalable and repeatable
