Finance Business Partner

JOB PROFILE

We’re looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance & Operations team at Creditsafe Group to help build relationships with our entities in understanding the numbers behind how they operate. Looking to change any bad habits and promote the “champion challengers” in order to instil best practice and align consistency across the entities.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Preparation and consolidation of the monthly group management accounts and production of the monthly board pack
• Review of weekly entity cash flows understanding variances through discussions with entities
• Review of entity reporting for accuracy and consistency (currently 14 reporting entities)
• Intercompany management of sales and costs and reconciliation
• Liaison with reporting entities on group accounting policies and when required, further KPI analysis
• Improving the impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on business performance
• Providing analysis and delivering insight that links financial reports to business strategies
• Providing effective commercial procedures, or initiating change, to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered
• Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams
• Effective liaison with overseas finance teams to understand and analyse financial results with a level of expected mandatory travel (once a month) to the overseas entities
• Develop strong working relationships with all key stakeholders

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Qualified accountant (ACMA, ACA, or ACCA) or qualified by experience
• Strong management accounting consolidation experience
• Extensive experience of working within a busy finance department
• Extensive experience of computerised financial systems with the ability to enhance reporting facilities
• Experience of working with finance operations in regional/global locations
• Strong spreadsheet manipulation skills
• Ability to adapt system-generated reports and general information to meet the requirements of senior management
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within a large and complex organisation
• Proven track record of delivering accurate information to strict timescales in fast paced, fluid environment
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics D365 is desirable but not essential
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate clearly and coherently
• Ability to influence stakeholders
