Senior Software Engineer

• £50,000 to £85,000 + 10% pension, 25 days annual leave, life insurance, income protection
• Office Based in Guildford (5 days a week)
• Applicants must be eligible for SC / DV Clearance - Clearance will be provided.

We have a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading technology R&D company researching, designing and developing ground-breaking solutions used in high profile MoD, defence and government backed projects.

This is a passionate R&D team with a very high bar in terms of technical capability and solutions deployment. Only the best problem solvers work here, those with top grades at A-Level, Bachelor's degree and usually with a Masters of Doctorate PhD in a STEM discipline.

What do you need?

• Top grade university degree, A-Levels (AAB) in STEM subjects and ideally a Masters or PhD in a STEM subject
• A highly analytical mindset, strong technical ability and a natural flair for solving complex problems using hardware, software, electronics and engineering principles

Technical…

• Software development in C/C++
• Software development in Python/MATLAB
• Experience developing user interfaces using HTML, JavaScript would be useful
• The ability to communicate with internal and external customers to scope projects and document requirements.
• Deep understanding of software engineering principles
