RESEARCH ANALYST
LOCATION: MANCHESTER
SALARY BETWEEN: 30,000 to 35,000 dependent upon experience (35 hours a week)

Our Client, a well-known and highly regarded Financial Adviser Network Support service now have an excellent opportunity available for a Research Analyst to join their team in Manchester.
You will be part of the Research team whose aim is to help support IFA Firms with their centralised product and investment research by providing information, comparison, analysis, due diligence and guidance on all aspects of research including products, funds, platforms, investment solutions and research tools and resources.
Daily duties will consist of;
Support financial advice firms in their understanding and adoption of continual industry and regulatory change within their centralised research and due diligence approaches
Collation and analysis of research information via industry research tools, provider websites and contacts.
Contribution to the ongoing review of centralised product and fund research, including monitoring against agreed criteria, and maintaining content published
Contributing to client facing reviews, guidance, opinion and news on products and funds, third party solutions and topical themes.
Supporting individual clients directly by taking queries on all elements of research from how best to use our web content, to opinion and guidance on specific investments and research processes.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience and attributes
Experience in the financial advice industry, including a broad, whole of market knowledge of the advice process and of products, funds, platforms and investment solutions
Level 4 diploma qualified or working towards
Experience of a wide range of adviser facing product and fund research tools and resources, such as FE Analytics, defaqto Engage, risk profiling and cash flow tools and familiarity with provider websites
.
The ability to work in a small team, helping where needed to meet routine team based goals and deadlines, but also to work alone under own initiative toward larger ad-hoc projects, multi-tasking and prioritising where needed.
Good judgement and strong analytical skills and attention to detail, including the ability to research, interpret and communicate information from a number of sources.
Strong written skills, including grammar, punctuation and spelling, being mindful of the
communication purpose and audience.
Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook
. Strong verbal and face-to-face communication skills with colleagues, clients and industry peers.
