Gas engineer
Location: Portishead
Pay Rate: £ 37,386
Type: Permanent

A fantastic opportunity is now available for an experienced Gas engineer to work with a Local Housing Authority as part of their Repairs and Maintenance team.

You'll be delivering appointed and emergency repairs, including call out, working alongside a team of high performing electricians that not only deliver great performance, but also provide a great experience for our customers.

As an gas engineer you'll be given the opportunity to develop new skills across multiple areas of our repairs services and help us to deliver our services more efficiently.

The Role;
As an gas engineer, your responsibilities will include:
  • Support the delivery of a flexible multi-skilled service to our customers.
  • Ensure all works is completed to a high standard.
  • Provide an excellent customer service through excellent communication to residents
  • Communicate effectively with managers and other stakeholders prior to, during and after completion of works.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.

You will need;

You should be fully qualified in this field (OTEC registered is preferable but not essential) and understand Health and Safety legislation.
As you will be given a tablet to receive your jobs whilst out and about in our communities, an understanding of IT would be an advantage, but don't worry training can be given.
All engineers are provided with a company van, so a full driving licence is essential.
We have homes across North Somerset, Bristol and Swindon. As one of our engineers, you will be assigned a specific area where you will work the majority of the time, but on occasion you may have to work in another business area (with prior notice).
As part of our Gas Team, you will be offered paid overtime opportunities.

What you Will get in return:
  • We pay six weeks full pay, 12 weeks half pay and 20 weeks statutory pay for maternity, adoption or shared parental leave (subject to qualifying criteria). New parents get two week's leave at full pay (subject to qualifying criteria).
