Job Description

About The Role

As our business continues to grow and thrive, we’re seeking experienced Consultant Gastroenterologists/Endoscopists to join our clinical teams around the UK.

This is a ‘mobile’ role on a ‘mobile contract’, working in the UK’s first all-inclusive, expandable, mobile endoscopy suites, in partnership with NHS Trusts and the independent sector. This means that although you will initially be based at one mobile endoscopy suite, you may well be required to travel to our other mobile sites in the future.

You'll have the opportunity to work as part of a well-oiled clinical team, in suites that are kitted out with the highest quality equipment, so you can feel confident you have the best tools for the job. Our patient lists are well planned, meaning you don't get overstretched because of slotting in extra appointments.

Working at TAC Healthcare means you have access to great facilities in a well-structured clinical environment, where you’ll provide out-patient support for clinics as well as undertaking endoscopy sessions. Our advanced Gastroenterology and Endoscopy services provides a rapid examination and diagnosis service for patients across the UK. And it goes without saying that our focus, always, is on ensuring our patients receive high quality treatment quickly, in clean and comfortable surroundings.

Qualifications

  • A UK registerable Medical Degree
  • GMC registration with a license to practice
  • Entry on to the specialist register for Gastroenterology or General Surgery
  • JAG Accreditation

Experience

You’ll need to be able to demonstrate an exceptional level of skill in the following areas:

  • Diagnostic Colonoscopy
  • Diagnostic Gastroscopy
  • Diagnostic Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
  • Ability to undertake clinical audit of work and apply findings to clinical work
  • Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required to gaining UK CCST
  • Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of issues in elective gastroenterology, drawing on substantive experience in the speciality
  • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients

What's in it for you

  • £160,000 annual salary - FTE
  • £30,000 retention bonus - FTE (paid annually)
  • 50% enhancement on weekend rates
  • Contributory pension
  • Generous travel and accommodation policy
  • Opportunity to work full or part time - you choose!
