This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Children and Family Wellbeing Service in this specialist role as a full time Grade 6 Lead Groupworker.
This is an excellent opportunity for any experienced worker to work in partnership with group workers across their team to plan, evaluate and support in the delivery of regular group work programmes to children, adults and family groups as determined by the needs of the service curriculum.
The post holders will take a lead role in supporting group work delivery, co-ordinate the supporting arrangements around group work delivery in neighbourhood centres and other community settings. They will have line management responsibility for a team of Neighbourhood Group Workers across a district including supervision, work patterns and the observation of groups and will have responsibility in achieving district group work targets and driving forward the importance of group work in localities.
They will have responsibility in supporting planning, evaluating and monitoring a range of group work programmes and activities which meet identified needs in line with the curriculum framework and curriculum prospectus including those with acute identified priority needs - in relation to children's school readiness, including developmental delay in such areas as speech, language, communication and presenting Emotional Health and Wellbeing related issues at an early help level
The LGW will work as part of the Neighbourhood team to support and resource our buildings. Duties, which may include opening buildings for service delivery use and securing after, preparing buildings/resources, checking their suitability for use
