Job Responsibilities

The Assistant Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operational and financial excellence of the Shack by exercising great leadership and decision-making that supports operational standards and the culture of Enlightened Hospitality. The Assistant Manager will:

  • Manage the flow of service to ensure the highest levels of Safety, Cleanliness, Quality, and Speed, while simultaneously upholding Shack standards of Hospitality in all interactions.
  • Help build and lead high performance team of hourly Team Members by participating in the training, development and performance management of people.
  • Complete operational support functions (i.e. Purchasing, Receiving, Inventory, etc.) at the Shack to ensure operational excellence and financial health of the business.
  • Lead and works to maintain the facility and all equipment to the highest standards – ensuring Safety and Cleanliness.

We will provide a 4-6 week training program with 4 weeks of hands-on application and certification program to prepare you for success.

Job Requirements

In the Assistant Manager role, you must be self-motivated, positive, and possess a passion for fostering a great sense of teamwork. We are seeking experienced professionals with a talent for leading and inspiring others. You must exhibit uncommonly high standards and be committed to the training and development of our team members.

Other requirements of the Assistant Manager role include:

  • At least 1 year of leadership experience supervising a team
  • Food Safety Certification (level 2 food hygiene)
  • Right to Work in UK
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Effective Communication Skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to drive hospitality and inspire others to do so
