Job Description

Who is Sherbourne Recycling?

Sherbourne Recycling was created in 2021 to develop and operate a new state of the art recycling facility on behalf of eight local authorities (Coventry City Council, North Warwickshire Borough Council, Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, Rugby Borough Council, Stratford-on-Avon District Council, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, Walsall Council and Warwick District Council).

This will be the most advanced recycling facility in the UK, utilising AI and robots to create a flexible recycling management solution, able to adapt and flex to changing waste composition and legislation, producing high quality valuable recycled materials opening new markets.

Technically, this is hugely exciting, and we will be creating an extremely attractive place to both learn in and work. What is most important for us though, is building a workforce from the communities it will be serving. We want people who want to be a part of our journey, people who want to be part of a team working towards a common goal.

This is the position we are currently recruiting for:

We are looking for an HSQE advisor to support the Team embedding Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental management systems throughout the organisation. The HSQE Advisor will support in developing and sustaining disciplined management systems at all levels of the organisation.

This is a new site with permits already in place as well as all risk assessments and safe systems of work completed. There is a strong focus on embedding a culture that prioritises H&S within the orgasnisation, so this role will be about building on that work and supporting the embedding process.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has their NEBOSH but is earlier in their HSQE career. Ideally you will have experience of management systems ISO9001, 14001, 18001/45001, as you will be responsible for the attainment and maintenance of those certificates.

The ideal person will be open and inquisitive, have excellent communication skills, enjoy working as part of a team, be naturally structured and organized, and have a drive for excellence.

Whilst experience working within the waste, recycling, or aggregates sector would be beneficial, we are open to hearing from candidates from all sectors.

To apply, please send a CV to SherbourneRecycling@WasteRecruit.comquoting reference J9267
