Work Pattern – 40 hrs pw Monday to Friday 8am-4.30pm

There is a requirement for out of hours call out approx. 1 in every 6 weeks on a rota basis + paid overtime for site attendance

Job Introduction
Here at Sodexo, we are currently recruiting for an experienced HVAC Engineer to be based at our key corporate services client based in Waltham on the Wolds.

This is an exciting opportunity that will allow you to utilize your skills and grow your engineering career all whilst being part of great engineering team. Your focus will be to maintain the Waltham campus heating and ventilation equipment ensuring high quality welcoming working environments.

Main Responsibilities
What you’ll do:

• Undertake maintenance and reactive activity, to a wide range of Air Conditioning systems located in commercial and industrial premises. In addition undertake activity within your competence to support the team in the undertaking of all other M&E building services including but not limited to Fan Coil units, Air Handling Units, BMS systems etc.
• Be an essential part of the campus engineering team who will ensure the safe operation and repair of all M&E building services and fabric equipment on the site.
• Take part in a rota to provide a reactive maintenance service outside operating hours of the site.
• Working in line with the Permit to Work System.
• To implement systems that will ensure plant is maintained and operated to its optimum efficiency.
• Use of IT systems (Handheld device) as part of the CAFM system.
• Work in line with issued Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work
• Professional management of working with chemicals including safe disposal
• Undertake training and appointment as a Competent Person in appropriate disciplines.
• Be proactive to identify and report faults with building services equipment and take steps to resolve.
• Be proactive to ensure all H&S issues are reported/escalated as required.
• Maintain informal communications with Client staff members related to service levels and issues.
• Report service affecting issued to the site management team for formal communication with the client
• Remain flexible with regards to site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency.

The Ideal Candidate
What you bring:

Essential

• HND or NVQ or equivalent in a relevant subject
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Excellent communications both written and verbal.
• Numerate and computer literate.
• Physically fit and able to perform the role.
• Excellent Time Management
• Flexibility
• Great customer facing skills
• Driving licence

Desirable

• IOSH Passport or CSCS Card
• Qualified to C&G 2079/11
• (Preferred but not essential) Previous appointment as CP for one or more of the following disciplines, Working at Heights, Confined Spaces
• PASMA Licence
• IPAF Licence
