Job summary

Infrastructure Engineer

As an Infrastructure Engineer you will either work within the Datalab Team of NDEC to develop, maintain and enhance the teams technical capabilities; or DDaT working collaboratively with the service support, infrastructure teams and non-technical user groups to identify issues, facilitate and support fault resolution and project handover. You will play a key part in building our new services on multiple platforms.

You’ll be working at the cutting edge of law enforcement on next-generation projects to help catch the criminals that pose the biggest threat to the UK.

This role is vital in ensuring our operational staff have the right tools, software, systems and platforms to exploit the latest serious and organised crime threats.

NDEC and DDaT are fast-paced environments and our teams work collaboratively and creatively to build software that solves exciting, unique and challenging problems

Person specification

As an Infrastructure Engineer you will work within the Datalab Team of NDEC or DDaT Specialist Operarional Services you will develop, maintain and enhance the teams technical capabilities. You will play a key part in building our new services on multiple platforms.

***All NCA officers must hold SC Enhanced upon entry as a minimum. To meet the National Security Vetting requirements for this role you will need to have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 out of the past 5 years. For more information please see the Candidate information Pack***

Qualifications

The following qualifications/skills are essential to the role and proof will be required at interview:

  • A relevant degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant Infrastructure certification
