Job Description

The IT Project Manager is responsible for delivery of internal technology projects, usually of a medium size. Group IT drives 2 types of projects: technology integration and alignment of the acquired companies and technology transformation – security, infrastructure and business applications. The scope of this role is to understand the essence and business purpose of the project, structure it and drive to delivery.


Responsibilities

  • Contribute to project scoping, challenge any gaps
  • Demonstrate ownership of project deliverables and timeline
  • Produce project plans and drive towards delivery
  • Coordinate project activities, resources and dependencies
  • Understand the cost structure, manage budget and report on status
  • Act as a single IT point of contact for internal and external parties
  • Identify and address risks and issues
  • Regularly communicate with project team
  • Provide updates to IT management and stakeholders
  • Prepare end user communication
  • Coordinate testing – technical and UAT
  • Organize and ensure handovers to service teams
  • Identify lessons learned, shared with the team and incorporate in templates and documentation for future projects
  • Manage due diligence phase of new acquisition – identify risks, build integration budget

Experience

  • At least 3 years in technology Project Management role
  • High level understanding of infrastructure, network, security and business applications
  • Experience working within an ITIL and ISO 27001-based structured IT service delivery environment is an advantage.
