37 hours – Paid weekly

We currently require a Joiner to help Construction Services with the delivery of various Joinery works across our Planned Repairs, Routine & Major work void Projects.

You would be working as part of a team delivering essential repairs to our social housing properties or preparing our empty properties to be advertised for new tenants.

We require individuals who are confident in carrying out the following aspects of joiner works to a high standard with a keen eye for detail and based in Barnsley:-

• Removal & Renewal of Kitchens
• Removal & Renewal of Bathrooms, Shower Rooms & Wet Rooms as part of a 2 man team with a plumber
• Internal Second fix joinery
• Internal first fix joinery
• Fencing Work – Timber or concrete,
• Fascia, Soffits and gutter work,
• Joinery repairs – including but not limited to floor boarding, door ease/renew, PVC repairs to windows and doors, kitchen unit repairs,
• The below elements would also be advantageous but not essential for the role :-
• Confident in basic plumbing or have some experience in plumbing,
• Be willing to assist with helping other trades as and when required.

Ideally you will have the following;

• NVQ2 essential or equivalent
• CSCS Blue essential (skilled worker card)
• Previous H&S training advantageous such as asbestos awareness, manual handling & working at heights etc
