Job Description

We are currently working with a reputable Law firm which specialist in Personal Injury is currently looking for a Legal office admin to join their Team. The successful candidate should have minimum of 6 months experience as an admin or more and perhaps will have already achieved your CILEX qualification (not essential), looking to progress your career in a city firm.

The role:

  • Operating autonomously and under own initiative to achieve demanding tasks, based upon instructions set out by Directors and Fee Earners in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
  • Attending Directors and Fee Earners at client meetings, recording accurate notes and thereafter preparing detailed attendance notes of instructions given by the client(s) and the advice delivered by the Director/Fee Earner.
  • Ensuring that Directors’ and Fee Earners’ instructions and deadlines are met, and that delegated work is completed correctly and efficiently, based on a high level of competency in prioritisation of objectives and time management. This will, include research, and assisting in the preparation of legal documents/forms and Court documents, under the direct supervision of the fee earner.
  • Answering calls and demonstrating an ability to manage the expectations of clients. Taking accurate messages/re-direct callers to the appropriate Director/Fee Earner whilst logging the content and key information of those calls and maintaining detailed and accurate records, by way of attendance notes.
  • Performing essential routine clerical and administrative tasks as assigned by the Directors and Fee Earners, such as preparing and sorting incoming and outgoing postal correspondence and documentation, filing, photocopying, printing and the assembly of spines, labels, and front sheets for legal documents.
  • Proofreading legal documents (both personally drafted and third-party) and raising queries and concerns with designated individuals, as required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £18,000.00-£20,000.00 per year
