Job Description

Position Summary:
  • Crawford’s Global Client Development Team is specialist team, based in the UK (London), Europe and USA that manages strategic key accounts across Brokers, Corporates and Carriers, as well as our relationship with Lloyds of London, representing a significant proportion of Crawford’s global revenue. As a key member of this team, you will be responsible for providing support to the sales management and sales operations activities with these key clients and for other global business development initiatives created and delivered by the GCD team for the benefit of our clients and colleagues around the world
  • You will be based in our London office, although you will be provided with the tools and flexibility to work from home in a hybrid role in line with Crawford’s Smarter Working flexible working programme
  • You will report to the Chief Client Officer, GCD (Benedict Burke) and GRL (Tenesha Frazier @ Atlanta, USS)
Functional Knowledge:
  • You will be expected to have an understanding of the how the insurance market works and the role of the various organisations involved in those markets.
  • Some experience of working with international insurance markets around would be an advantage, but not essential
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of the claims function in insurance
  • Proven ability to use Microsoft Office programmes such as Word and Excel with a more advanced.
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint and Adobe desktop publishing packages, a distinct advantage.
General Background, Experience & Professional Qualifications:
  • Achievement of an Honour Degree or equivalent
  • Insurance qualifications desirable but not essential but the motivation to continue to study for relevant qualifications would be an advantage and support would be provided
  • Experience of working for an insurer/broker/MGA/claims services company is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:

Data and Analytics

  • Working with the Global Relationship Leaders (GRLs) to establish a consistent set of metrics for identified strategic client accounts
  • Liaise with country contacts across the Crawford network for the acquisition of client related data and context
  • Collate and analyse individual country revenue and service performance data
  • Supporting engagement with each country on regular calls working with the Global Relationships Leaders
  • Review of Global Client Development (GCD) managed client revenue on quarterly basis
  • Working with GRL’s to collate key data and market intelligence on carrier and brokers to support strategic plans including Financial reporting, Strategy and Publication
Sales Support / Bid Management
  • Provide support for RFP responses and external data gathering
  • Attendance at market meetings with the GRL’s in support of professional development
  • Attendance and be actively involved at meetings with key internal stakeholders at all levels in the business and across geography
Market Facing Activity
  • Occasional attendance at conferences
Strategic Account Management
  • Administration on Salesforce on behalf of GCD team to maintain Strategic Account Plans, assigned all GCD opportunities to Brokers and Carriers and manage SAM Dashboards
  • Supporting GRL’s on monthly SAM global account calls
  • Project Management strategic account management responses ensuring that all members of the global SAM team are meeting internal deadlines
  • Liaison with global SAM team and other key stakeholders to create Stewardship documents for key GCD corporate, insurer and broker clients.
