As a Maintenance Operative at Green Gates Care Home, you’ll ensure the care home remains functional at all times and our residents have a safe and comfortable environment. We’ll support you to get the most out of your career, including putting you through the City & Guilds Level 3 Award in the in-service inspection and testing of electrical equipment.

£11.75 - £13.28ph dependent on experience and qualifications

What the role involves
Who we’re looking for
A full driving licence is essential for this role.
You hold a building/electrical/plumbing qualification or have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a property maintenance or general repairs role. Previous experience in a site management role and experience managing consultants, contractors and contracted suppliers would be advantageous. Friendly and approachable, you’ll have a good understanding of building services including, heating, hot and cold-water distribution, ventilation, electrical distribution, and plumbing. You understand the importance of maintaining high standards and have knowledge of relevant statutory requirements and compliance. You can work flexibly to meet demands and you’re always happy to help the wider team. You’ll enjoy working with others and building relationships with our residents.

The successful candidate will be able to work full-time throughout the week. This role is available to start ASAP; the starting pay rate for this job is 28-35
