Maxxima have recently partnered with one of the UK’s largest specialist provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. We are currently looking for a Trainee Breast Care Nurse , who can provide overall support for the clinical leadership of the service. This post is based in
Surrey, which is easily accessible via public transport.
About the role:
As a Trainee Breast Care Nurse, you will be working in a clinical and service development capacity to ensure the service to breast patients is planned, delivered and evaluated in line with evidence-based practice. Working closely with the multi-disciplinary team to help create and maintain a robust service whilst seamlessly incorporating other centre services such as diagnostics, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy
Your main responsibilities as a Trainee Breast Care Nurse :
- Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in developing and maintaining client services, share information regarding her psychological, emotional, social and physical wellbeing
- Identify women who may need additional support and gain a clear understanding of treatment pathways
- Work within the levels of intervention to provide supportive advice and care to patients who fear breast disease or have breast cancer.
- Provide emotional and informational support to patients and families and to be aware of the need to refer to others if appropriate
- Provided support and information to High Risk Familial breast patients
- To ensure the multi-disciplinary team provides the most appropriate patient-centered care
What we are looking for in a Trainee Breast Care Nurse:
- NMC registration
- A Registered Nurse who is able to take up the course and training for breast
- Knowledge on the NHSBSP breast screening programme
