Part time opportunity for Band 6 Young Peoples Substance Misuse Nurse

The Matthew Project’s Integrated Substance Misuse Service for young people under the age of 19 UNITY has a new and exciting opportunity. We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Band 6 Substance Misuse Nurse to support young people impacted by substance use.
The base for this post is Great Yarmouth but could be Norwich as you will cover a wider geographical area across the East of Norfolk. The role will be carried out at the base and in the community; the ability to travel is essential.

Under the supervision of the lead nurse:
To provide a clinical response to young people who require specialist interventions as part of a holistic treatment service. Cases will be co-worked within the team and jointly managed with other agencies and services across the county where appropriate.
To provide a dedicated and specialist response to the clinical needs of young people aged 11-18 with significant and complex drug and alcohol related problems.
To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing holistic and multi-dimensional assessments and care/treatment plans.
To provide consultations, advance information and support to professional colleagues and individual young people as required.
To liaise with other professionals, agencies and services in both the statutory and non-statutory sectors.
