We have a vacancy for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the orthopaedic specialist nurse team as a Trauma Co-ordinator to provide a quality and integrated service for our trauma patients.

You will work with the trauma on call team to co-ordinate the pathway for trauma patients who come in through the Emergency Department, fracture clinic and minor injury units. Management of the trauma office and correspondence on a daily basis will ensure that trauma in-patients, clinic patients and those waiting at home are clinically optimised and ready for theatre.

Keeping patients informed of plans and delays and liaising with theatres, speciality teams and personnel is a significant part of this role therefore excellent communication skills are essential. You must have the skills to manage a workload which is often busy and unpredictable whilst dealing with frequent interruptions from multiple sources.
