We are able to offer an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified Gynae Oncologist to join our dynamic team at NUH.
NUH operates as a Level 3 Specialist Gynaecological Cancer multidisciplinary team, as well as a tertiary referral centre with a reputation for excellence.
Our aim is to deliver high quality holistic care, for the patients of Nottingham and surrounding the areas, with gynaecological cancers so as to increase survival while maximising a patient’s functional capability and quality of life. We strive to ensure ready and timely access to appropriate supportive care for patients, their relatives and carers at a time and place that suits them best. The service is delivered through a specialist gynaecological cancer multidisciplinary team.
GYNAEONCOLOGY MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAM
The Gynae oncology Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) is a multi-professional group providing a full range of diagnostic and treatment services for gynaecological cancer to Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. The MDT engages with the East Midlands Cancer Network site specific group for gynaecology cancer to develop and implement network guidelines across all aspects of gynaecological cancer for women across the East Midlands.
Main duties of the job
A full range of gynaecology oncology emergency and elective patients are admitted to Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and the appointee will be responsible for the management of those patients admitted under his/her care.
Provision with Consultant colleagues of a comprehensive elective and emergency gynaecology service.
Provision of reciprocal cover for periods of leave.
Continuing responsibility for the care of patients in his/her charge and the proper functioning of the department.
These duties are subject to review from time to time in the light of the changing requirements of the service. If alterations to the described duties are required these will be mutually agreed between the appointee, his/her Consultant colleagues, and the Trust.
The person appointed will be required to devote substantially the whole of his/her time to the duties of the post and give them priority at all times

Salary: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
