Commis Chef

We have a great opportunity for 2 commis chefs to join the expanding kitchen team in the newly opened luxurious 81-bedroom Buxton Crescent Ensana Health Spa hotel.

As a commis chef you will be putting the start of your hospitality journey in our hands. From us you will receive commitment to training you to be able to run sections confidently as you progress in the kitchen brigade. This role is perfect for someone who has just finished college and wants to work in the real world with the best produce and the best equipment available.

The role within the kitchen will be overseen by our multi rosette and award-winning Executive Chef along with the highly skilled team.

The food offering is large, as we serve breakfast, bar and lounge service, room service, dining room, events, spa café and team lounge, so there will be opportunities to produce food of all types to high standards set by the Head Chef.

Applicants must be happy to follow close instruction, accept guidance, read recipes and multiply/divide as required and follow recipes without deviation.

There will be room for development within the team and the successful candidates will receive training from highly experienced chefs.

Successful candidates will be expected to maintain high levels of personal cleanliness and always remain professional.

This is a chance to become part of the kitchen team that will be looking after one of the UK’s premier multi-outlet spa hotels. With brand new kitchens, you will be working with top of the range equipment from Konro Japanese BBQ’s, Pacojet, water baths, Thermomix, etc., to aid in the delivery of a 5* food offering across all outlets.
