An exciting opportunity has arisen for a pro-active individual to undertake the role of Panel Beater/Welder based at the Essex Police workshops in Boreham.
This is a challenging role that requires the successful candidate to have a proven background of working in a busy vehicle accident repair workshop. It is essential that you evidence a good understanding of vehicle body repair methods that include bond and rivet, welding and jig work. A good knowledge of health and safety underpinned by 5 years post apprenticeship experience with an Industry qualification equivalent to NVQ level 3.
In this role you will be required to dismantle, assess and repair police fleet vehicles and associated equipment. communicate efficiently with parts and workshops, suppliers and external customers as operational changes arise in order to deliver a cost-efficient service that meets force needs.
A knowledge of computer systems is desirable as you will be required to input and retrieve job details via the fleet management system.
We are looking for a team player that thrives on challenges, can think outside the box and bring their experience to our small bodyshop team.
A valid full driving license is essential.
