About Our Client

Our client is one of the UK's Leading IT Infrastructure providers based in the heart of Glasgow. They offer hybrid working and accessible by all means of public transport.

Job Description

The successful candidate will likely have the following responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the processing of the payroll cycle (UK is in-house payroll and Ireland, Singapore and US outsourced) including expenses processing
  • Validate and sign off all quality related payroll checks and controls
  • Manage daily workload and work with another Payroll & Benefits Specialist to ensure task allocation
  • Manage and respond to emails in payroll mailbox
  • Maintain up to date and comprehensive guidance notes on payroll procedures
  • Ensure that the Payroll system and data held within it is fit for purpose and utilised to its fullest
  • Working closely with Reward, Payroll & HR Operations Manager and wider HR Operations team around Benefits from administration, negotiations, renewals and new benefit offerings
  • Seek to support and improve the current Payroll & Benefits offering through systems implementation and streamlining processes
  • Contribute to projects from a payroll perspective acting as subject matter expert

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will likely have the following profile:

  • Detailed understanding of taxation, payroll and pensions legislation (CIPP or equivalent is desirable)
  • Experience with payroll inputting and output checking
  • A good understanding of accounting principles and their application to payroll
  • Experience/understanding of other countries payroll processing desirable e.g. Ireland/US/Singapore
  • Excellent IT skills including the use of Excel, HR and payroll systems
  • A good communicator, with an ability to work independently and as part of the wider team
  • Confident producing and manipulating management data to inform decisions
  • Excellent prioritisation, organisation and communication skills

What's on Offer

This role will offer a competitive salary between £34,000-£38,000 plus great benefits.
