An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Planning Engineer with Primavera P6 experience to join a leading multinational engineering business renowned for delivering complex engineering projects.

My client is seeking a motivated Planning Engineer with expertise in utilizing Primavera P6 to join their dynamic team on a major project based in Cumbria. The Planning Engineer will join an established team and will be responsible for playing a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution and delivery of complex engineering projects. They will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop, monitor and control project schedules using Primavera P6.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain project schedules, incorporating all necessary activities, resources, and constraints.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and milestones.
• Perform critical path analysis, identify schedule risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project progress, track actual versus planned performance, and report on schedule variances.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate and timely data input into Primavera P6.
• Conduct regular schedule updates and generate progress reports for management and clients.
• Provide expertise and guidance on Primavera P6 functionality, best practices, and optimization.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify opportunities for schedule optimization and resource leveling.
• Support the development and implementation of project control processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field would be beneficial
• Proven experience as a Planning Engineer, preferably in a multinational engineering environment.
• Proficiency in utilizing Primavera P6 for project planning, scheduling, and progress tracking.
• Experience of engineering project management principles and methodologies.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse project teams.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing project requirements.
