Claxton are looking to hire a Project QHSE Advisor on a full time, permanent basis. Based at their location in Great Yarmouth, the Project QHSE Advisor is responsible for implementation of the QHSE strategy in conjunction with the projects department. Supporting the management of QHSE systems, processes, and policies, with a focus on project scope for the Great Yarmouth facility. Promote a positive QHSE culture in all project applications and the wider business, supporting the QHSE continual improvement plan and programs through the business along with reporting on QHSE project performance and provide support to projects from the Great Yarmouth base.


Duties

  • Support the creation and management of project risk registers.
  • Support the delivery of QHSE and Sustainability targets for all projects.
  • Promote continued improvement of project related QHSE processes.
  • Support the company in bids and quotations in respect of QHSE aspects.
  • Produce and discharge Quality Inspection Test Plans for projects.
  • Application of the non-conformance process to closure.
  • Support project improvement activity (e.g., cost of poor quality, audit findings, customer feedback)
  • Ensuring all project documentation is controlled and authorised to schedule.
  • Offer QHSE support to Project Managers/Engineers to ensure the effective delivery of project plans.
  • Review, critique and manage the production of comprehensive programmes of work produced buy Project Engineers to ensure they are in accordance with company contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Support Project Engineers during Client facing meetings.
  • Assist in client visit/technical presentations as required.
  • Supporting investigation and completion of project NCR's.
  • Carrying out verification points, such as documentation reviews and testing hold points, welding, materials, FAT's etc.
  • Developing QHSE plans and Inspection Test Plans
  • Advise on QHSE related industry standards and legislation e.g., API, NORSOK, DNV quality requirements.



Requirements

  • Level 3 certificate in Health and Safety and/or HNC in Engineering.
  • Ideally experience within a similar role, working within an Oil & Gas Engineering environment.
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of project-based risk management.
  • Good working knowledge of project QHSE systems.
  • Working knowledge of oil and gas operations, equipment, and manufacturing processes.
  • Computer literate and working experience with Microsoft Office packages.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, and organisational abilities.
  • Supportive team player with a positive can-do approach.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
