This post attracts a ‘New Starter’ package of £15,000 spread over 3 years as a retention bonus and are also supported by a £12,000 relocation allowance.

Consultant Psychiatrist for Older People
The Trust is seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist in Old Age to join a community team for older people. The post is currently vacant after the retirement of the previous post holder.
Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust delivers its core services to adults and older people within Care Groups that are co-terminus with the newly formed Primary Care Networks. This post sits within the Norwich and North Norfolk Care Group which covers the Primary Care Networks within Norwich and North Norfolk.
The Community Team’s core operating hours are 9-5pm. Although the Trust does support flexible working arrangements in agreement with the line manager.
The community team covers three main functions: dementia diagnostic assessments, dementia treatment and ‘core team’ which covers more complex dementia presentations which have associated risks and mental health presentations.
The advertised role will provide clinical care and leadership for the The Older Peoples Community Team.
The post holder must be registered with the GMC. The post holder must also have an entry on the GMC Specialist Register (CCST) in Adult Psychiatry (or within three months of completion of CCST). Applications from those wishing to work flexibly or those wishing to develop academic or special interest sessions are welcomed.
The Norwich and North Norfolk Older People’s Service provides a needs-led (i.e. not as yet determined by age alone but with an ultimate primary remit for those 65+ once forthcoming Trust internal structural changes are complete to unify the Older People’s Service Trust wide) Older Adults’ . The Older People’s teams provide specialist services to people with suspected dementia of any age, and to people with functional disorders complicated by needs related to older age.
