Job Description

Health Innovations are recruiting for a Quality Assurance Technologist to join our team in Skipton. Health Innovations specialises in the formulation and manufacture of tablet and powder food supplements. Some of our most popular products include multi-vitamins, beauty supplements, powder blends, general health and wellbeing supplements.

KEY ACTIVITIES

  • Be familiar with the company quality policy and what it means
  • QA function standards.
  • To work for the achievement of quality and food safety at all times and bring to the attention of management any areas of concern where you feel this is being compromised or could be improved.
  • support with maintaining site accreditation and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Supporting Quality projects and improvement activities within the department
  • To ensure that Health and safety and Hygiene standards are maintained at all time.
  • Raise and maintain NCR reports as required to facilitate continuous improvement activities.
  • Liaise with production supervisors to resolve any non-conformance issues and providing support as required.
  • Provide training to new staff members.
  • Carry out departmental planned inspections & 5S compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with appropriate external& customer standards Provide customers with information and samples as required, to include AQL, C of A, First run and QC documentation.
  • HACCP Team member
  • Production of monthly ad hoc reports/analysis for cleaning, plant hygiene etc.
  • Attend the monthly Food Safety meetings.
  • Conduct monthly audits as per schedule and create audit reports, communicates and follow ups.
  • To assist with site audits as and when carried out by local authority or customers.

Ideal candidate:

  • Knowledge of HACCP and Food Safety, ideally BRC.
  • Experience with Internal QA Audits and Reporting
  • Previous QA/QC working experience in Food Industry
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Working hours are 37.5 per week; flexible around 07:30-17:00 Mon-Fri.
