Job Description

Our client is looking for Welding insepector / Welding Supervisor for an construction of an LNG tank in Isle of Grain with experience on LNG tank, Oil and Gas or Energie sectors.

The adequate profile will need to be:

• Familiar with Welding activites on an industrial environnement
• Familar with the Carbon Steel & 9% Nickel welding activites
• Able to interface with technical department
• External interface (client and subcontractor)
• Able to take initiative and motivate his team
• Lead and promote quality awareness
• Site expeirence
• NDE experience

he/she will be have for role/missions to:

• Set up and implement Quality Control systems
• Set up, follow up and fill in traceability matrix to gather all construction works activities (Fit up, welding, NDT)
• Prepare, issue and implement Inspection and Test Plan in accordance with project requirements
• Follow up Non-Conformity and associated Corrective actions
• Coordinate site inspector team QA/ QC requirements
• Prepare and issue all necessary QA/ QC documentation (Quality plan, NCR procedure, ITPs, Material handling, traceability, welder follow up… welding repair rate monitoring….)
• Organise/carry out daily inspection and control activities
• RT coordination
• Interface with construction team to ensure quality requirement are enforced with all project activities.
• Interface and manage NDT subcontractors
• Perform site inspection and ensure project documentation and criteria’s are met.
• Provide the necessary information for project reporting
• Ensure preparation and issuance of Manufacturing record book
• Perform NDT inspection (Visual/MPI/ DPI) as required, prepare and submit reports

Qualification:

• Experienced profile
• Qualifed welding inspector (CISWIP or equivlent)
• NDE qualification (MPI/DPI) Possibly RT and UT
