Our client is a new breed of PR agency who are experiencing exciting growth currently. Their Glasgow head office is looking for a brilliant Senior Account Manager to join the team to work on some of their most exciting account including drinks, FMCG and media.

THE ROLE

You will report to the Agency Director and at SAM level, they are hoping for a minimum of 4 years agency experience for Account Manager level - and this will be within B2C, consumer, lifestyle brands (ideally with some booze brands in there). Our client may also look at equivalent client side PR experienced candidates if they come from the FMCG / drinks side of things (someone with a real appetite to join agency).

The Senior Account Manager is a crucial member of the team, that delivers exceptional service to the client. You are the heartbeat of your accounts, and a key contact for clients, you delegate work well to Account Execs, and manage upward communication effectively.

Great Account Managers drive projects forward and take the team with them. They can create and present plans to clients and are Grade A publicists. They can write effective copy across a range of channels and formats, and they are eager to rapidly develop leadership and management skills.

Within this agency environment, Account Managers have autonomy, trust, and high expectations, thus they want committed, and ambitious Account Managers that show proactivity, drive, and set high standards for all those around them.

YOUR SKILLSET

  • Media strategy. You understand your clients’ audiences inside out, how they consume media, and how to craft the right story to generate editorial coverage.
  • Media relations. You understand how the media works, have impeccable contacts and well-developed media relations skills.
  • Client relations. You are used to being the key contact for your clients, you are a trusted consultant and lead autonomously on all client comms, both written and verbal.
  • Account management. You make accounts run like clockwork. Efficient and effective comms internally and externally, run meetings, manage team deadlines, ensure actions are executed and drive forward projects.
  • Written skills. You're capable of writing effective comms for a range of channels – press releases, web copy, social copy, sell-in notes, headlines, etc. – and can easily adopt the TOV of a range of clients and audience.
  • Management skills. You have experience in managing Account Executives and interns ideally
  • Presenting. You are a confident and effective presenter, able to lead on routine client presentations and calls, but also deliver inspiring presentations of campaign plans
  • Creative. You can contribute effectively to creative brainstorms, bringing your own personal perspective and cultural background to the table
  • Cultural understanding. A passion for culture is essential, they need and want you to have an open and curious mind and bring your cultural insights with you to work.
  • Reporting and analysis. You understand your clients' objectives, you can help develop effective KPIs, and are familiar with reporting tools and frameworks.
  • Finance and budgeting. You are confident in using cost trackers, understand client cost budgets, and can keep on top of these budgets to ensure delivery.

Salary is purely dependent on skills & experience to £40,000 + much higher than average holiday allowance, pension, training and development budget and loads more!
