Job Summary

Our client is a leading global developer with a large development pipeline in the UK. They require a Senior Investment Analyst to support the Head of Investments. This is a highly visible position at one of the premier developers in the UK and will require an experienced and confident financial analyst, with prior experience of working in real estate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial advice to Development Directors / Head of Investment for their respective projects
  • Clear and succinct presentations of your analysis, with well-designed supporting materials
  • As required, work with the Development team, including data analysis to support market research, site analysis, space planning, and costing Investment Finance Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain financial models including complex capital structures (senior debt, mezzanine debt, equity promote structures and refinancing)
  • Alongside other team members, present financial analysis to senior stakeholders, including to IC, major lenders, institutional investors and PE funds
  • Conduct sensitivity and stress testing analysis
  • Provide source data to the Finance team to assist with reporting requirements
  • Responsibility for owning investment appraisals for development phases
  • Underwriting new opportunities with prospective Joint Venture partners;
  • Evaluating funding options; and other financial analysis to support new business
  • Clearly summarise and communicate analytical findings to stakeholders
  • Attend project meetings to gain a first-hand understanding of our projects and wider business
  • Perform quality control of financial information

Background
  • Degree level Qualification or equivalent (2:1 in any subject)
  • Post-graduate qualification with either an investment or real estate focus is an advantage
  • Minimum of 3 -6 years’ real estate experience in an investment / corporate finance role
  • Experience of underwriting real estate developments, including maintaining, modifying and building leveraged cash flows
  • Understanding of corporate finance theory and real estate finance concepts
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Genuine interest in real estate and enthusiasm to continue to learn about the sector
  • Analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and work through competing priorities
  • Experience of effectively managing multiple stakeholders and working flexibly between projects
