About the team
The FT has an ambitious growth plan focused on the US and a multidisciplinary team has been created to work towards our goals. As a Senior Analyst, you will be focused on providing actionable insight to help the team make decisions as well as project managing all analytics related components. You will be reporting into the Insight Analytics team, but will also have a dotted line into the US Strategy Product Manager, meaning you split your time between the two teams and travel to the NY office a couple of times. This is a fantastic role for anyone looking for the excitement and pace of a start-up but with the resources and expertise of a well-established legacy brand.
About the Role
Over the next few years we have ambitious targets to grow the FT's global paying audience. This can only be achieved with the tools, knowledge and insights provided by the Data Analytics team. We are looking for someone who has a curiosity for interrogating data, is masterful in experimentation and understands the value of storytelling with data.
Main Responsibilities
Communication and storytelling
A proven ability to tell compelling stories and provide actionable insights using data
Enthusiasm for data visualisation, and familiarity with techniques and tools
Technical proficiency
Analyst experience and experience with web analytics
Proven SQL and Excel skills, and experience working with analytical reporting tools, e.g. Looker/Tableau/PowerBI
Thorough, inquisitive, with an eye for data quality
Experience of A/B or multivariate testing and statistical test design
Desirable: Experience working with B2B data
Stakeholder & Workload management
Experience of stakeholder management; across both technical and non-technical departments
Close collaboration with other Data and Analytics disciplines; BI, Data Science, User Research, Audience Feedback, Data Platforms, Tracking Architecture & Governance etc.
Ability to manage numerous simultaneous projects and effectively prioritise workload.
Ability to lead small groups of analysts to collaborate on projects.

How we work
We offer a strict 35 hour working week to all staff in our London office. Our hybrid setup means staff are expected to come into the office 2 days a week on average. We operate flexibly and thus this 2 day a week figure should be taken as a general ratio of the time you will spend in the office.
Our office is located across the street from St. Paul's Cathedral and is easily accessible from all corners of London. There are the main train terminals such as Liverpool Street, Moorgate, Blackfriars, City Thameslink or Waterloo all situated within walking distance or there are several tube stations within a few mins walk such as Mansion House (District or Circle line), St. Paul's (Central line), Bank (Central or Waterloo & City line) or Barbican (Central, Hammersmith & City or Metropolitan lines).
