The Hours: Flexible hour contract. Weekends only until July, then up to full time hours until contract end. Weekend work essential. This position will be mainly based outdoors and include meet and greet duties.

The Salary: £10.50/h

What it's like to work here:The magnificent Chirk Castle is situated on a sweeping 480-acre estate on the Welsh border and is brimming full of 700 years’ worth of history. The property offers a superb visitor welcome, and the 29 strong team welcome people with superb customer service skills to help bring to life the castle’s powerful story. The property offers a lively and diverse programme of events, and the development of the wider parkland is one of the exciting upcoming projects due to take place. People travel in either by public transport or car.

What you'll be doing:Visitors are a vital part of what we do. As the Service Assistant it’s your role to ensure that the welcome our visitors receive is perfect, setting them up for an amazing experience for the rest of the day. In this role, you’ll be;

• Working alongside a big staff team and volunteers in delivering outstanding customer service across the property

• Working across our welcoming and admitting visitors to the property, providing information and orientation

• Working on our property tills selling admission tickets, processing payments of activities and events and promoting our Growing Support strategy (Memberships/Donations/Fundraising)

• Promote events, offers, products and benefits of actively supporting the National Trust

• Support in the delivery of events at times throughout the year

• Support across the property/portfolio when required
