Our global Distribution team is responsible for delivering to our customers the products they love, efficiently, and sustainably, all over the world. We’ve made significant investments in automation technology and our E-Commerce platform, and we need digital-savvy team members to help push us even further!

We now have a new opportunity for an Inventory Shift Manager to join our Inventory Control & Quality Assurance (ICQA) team here at Donington. This role is responsible for leading our 24/7 Inventory team who cover all three of our Chambers (both manual and automated) to ensure the team delivers available inventory onsite. This role will work Monday to Friday but flexibility will be required to provide cover as and when needed.

What you'll be involved in:

  • Ensuring the warehouse is on track to manage events, delivery customer service and govern ICQA related activities
  • Ensuring the inventory is adhere to HMRC legal requirements
  • Drive forward thinking to ensure customer experience is at the forefront of the Operation
  • Lead and develop a team of 24/7 Team Managers to achieve site targets as defined in the Efficiency Budget and Production Plan
  • Support Team Managers to Deliver Customer Failure Rate (CFR) in pursuit of 0 failures (Late Despatch and Nil Picks) where customer deliveries are 100% on time first time every time
  • Managing concerns raised by Team Managers Short Interval Control, ensure appropriate and time corrective actions are taken to achieve the plan. Raising as appropriate when support is required, complete Tier 1 Metrics and conduct frequent reviews of performances vs plan.
  • Supporting Team Managers to conduct root cause analysis through effective problem solving of all barriers to achieving Tier 3 and Tier 2 targets. Implement corrective actions to restore performance to plan
  • Ensure efficient shifts which is able to fulfil operational and customer demand

We are looking for someone who is an inspirational leader who has managed complex teams within an automated Distribution Centre or similar environment. They will need to have a strong analytical background which they can use to drive data lead decisions. In addition, they will need:

  • To be able to encourage and mentor their team to achieve the highest standards of performance and behaviour. Creating an environment that enables them to achieve their full potential
  • The ability to build strong cross functional relationships. Challenging, influencing and persuading others to move towards a common vision or goal in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same
