Property Damage Associate / Senior Associate – Attractive opportunity for talented solicitor to forge career in technical commercial insurance team. This is an area of law which demands a demonstrable background in dispute resolution and the team is looking to recruit a robust litigator who can really excel.

• Job title: Associate (1-5 PQE)
• Location: Manchester
• Salary: £45,000 – £55,000
• Reports to: Partner
• Previous Experience: Previous experience of property damage, or general commercial insurance litigation / subrogated loss would be ideal. Other areas of interest include general commercial litigation as well as areas such as debt recovery. Any experience of large-scale property damage / liability disputes would be a major advantage.

The expanding property damage and liability team is looking for a solicitor or associate to add further strength to the department.

This property liability department is based in Manchester city centre and forms part of the wider national and international commercial litigation team advising high value, complex subrogated loss matters, policy coverage disputes and fraud.

The firm advises most if not all of the top insurance houses in the market on national and international disputes.

A leading team in commercial insurance and coverage work

Instructions might include claims relating to fire damage, chemical leaks, water escapes as well as construction and engineering disputes.

Such claims are often high-value, complex and highly sensitive. The team is renowned for its ability to handle demanding, large-scale contentious matters and has a formidable range of experience on which to draw.

Wide range of candidates considered

All applicants should have a proven background in litigation, whether that be in commercial litigation or commercial insurance litigation eg property damage; professional indemnity or another area of reinsurance / subrogated loss.

The team has also recruited candidates with a more general commercial litigation background including areas with a transferable skill set such as debt recovery.
